Biography

Julien Dillens (* 8 June 1849 in Antwerp; † 24 December 1904 in Brussels) was a Belgian sculptor.





Dillens was the son of the painter Adolf Dillens and studied with Eugène Simonis at the Académie royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles, a renowned art academy. In 1877 he was awarded the Prix de Rome for his sculpture Chef gaulois fait prisonnier des Romains.
